Hello!
My name is Omayra Batista and I am a dedicated tax accountant with over a decade of related work experience. My academic background includes a Master’s degree in Taxation from Villanova University, along with a specialized certification in State & Local taxes.
My passion for taxes began during my final year of undergraduate studies at the College of Holy Cross, where I volunteered at the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program. This experience marked the inception of my career as it offered valuable insights into the complexity of income tax filing and emphasized the indispensable role played by tax accountants. Countless individuals and businesses rely on accountants and CPAs for financial guidance; making accounting not only a trusted profession but also ethically and financially rewarding.
On January 1st, 2021, InstaTax Live was born! As I watched the New Year’s Eve ball drop, the sight of a deserted Times Square saddened me. Yet, it sparked a realization — the time for change is NOW. The lack of a physical tax office had been delaying the start of my business, but 2020 instilled in me adaptability and resilience. We embraced the virtual world, mastering remote work! It’s a faster, easier, and more affordable approach — for us both.
